Once your application has been successfully processed, your membership is then active and you will be notified.
Within your welcoming pack from the Membership Department you will receive details of your local Region/Centre along with all the additional information you will require.
As a member, regardless of your membership grade, you can be involved with your Region/Centre or at national level with the Institute.
There are sixteen UK Regions and two Centres; Hong Kong and the Republic of Ireland. Each Region/Centre has a Regional/Centre Committee which includes a Regional/Centre Councillor, Regional/Centre Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. This Committee organises CPD events and other networking opportunities for the Region/Centre. Every member is encouraged to attend these events where possible and to play an active part within their Region/Centre.
You can choose to change your Region/Centre as a written request to the Membership Department, however you may only elect to be part of one Region/Centre.
You can attend any CPD events organised by other Regions/Centres at your own cost.
There are also opportunities to be involved with the Institute at national level by joining a Committee or Taskforce and also standing for election in an honorary capacity, as part of the Institute’s Executive Board and Council. Further details can be obtained from Central Office.
