Part of the Institute's recognition is the bestowing of awards and scholarships to its membership, and to those outside the Institute, in areas of particular note, whether they be presented for recognition, technical excellence or as a mechanism of support.

The awards and scholarships, which follow, are national awards organised and presented either by the President (Past President, President Elect or similar) or a Committee.

The CIAT Regions and Overseas Centres also run their own regional awards and the Regional/Centre Secretary should be contacted for further information.

The majority of the winners and recipients of these awards are featured in Architectural Technology magazine and promoted accordingly across the Institute.

N.B Please note that all awards presented before 22 July 2005 were issued under the name British Institute of Architectural Technologists. All awards presented before 23 April 1994 were issued under the name British Institute of Architectural Technicians. All awards presented before 1 May 1986 were issued under the name Society of Architectural and Associated Technicians.
