As a long standing and active member of CIAT, I have been committed to practising and promoting the CIAT ethos. Design excellence and problem solving are at the heart of everything we do. We promote creativity within a disciplined design process.
Our practice, in which I am a Partner, has been established as one of the leading practices in the education sector in Northern Ireland with a large portfolio of leading edge projects. These include nursery, primary and secondary schools together with Colleges of Further Education. More recently we have diversified our portfolio to include social housing, retail and commercial developments and the hotel and leisure markets.
We believe our clients are entitled to well designed projects that fill their functional needs while maintaining design integrity. A building design should be the product of new ideas and concepts combined with a continuing search for better or more practical solutions to any problem. I believe in a strong personal contact with the client whilst acting as the head of a strong motivated and co-ordinated design team.
Over the years CIAT has grown in confidence and now has international recognition. As building standards improve every year Architectural Technologist and Architectural Technicians should also improve in terms of design and construction.
