I am an Associate of Barton Willmore and responsible for providing design and technical services. I have been responsible for the preparation and co-ordination of feasibility studies, planning, tender and construction documentation for a variety of commercial/retail projects throughout the UK. Major projects include retail park refurbishments and a town centre redevelopment scheme.
I work closely with clients, developers and local authorities and my wide range of abilities and wealth of knowledge and experience provides a valuable resource used extensively by colleagues at all levels through the practice.
Some of my key achievements:
- London Street, Reading; thirteen new apartments; prepared working drawings for Building Regulations submission and construction issue.
- Meadway Phase II, Reading; new dwellings; prepared working drawings for Building Regulations submission and construction issue.
- Western Avenue, Acton; Retail unit refurbishment, prepared and co-ordinated planning/working drawings and NBS specification for Planning/Building Regulations and construction issue and acted as client’s agent.
- Winchester Road, Basingstoke; Retail warehouse; prepared outline proposals for an outline planning application in conjunction with Barton Willmore’s masterplanning group.
- Woolhampton Village Hall; Prepared working drawings and NBS specification for tender and construction issue and acted as client’s agent.
- Northfield Avenue, Kettering; Retail unit refurbishment; – prepared and co-ordinated planning/working drawings and NBS specification for planning, tender and construction issue and acted as Contract Administrator.
- Chelmsley Wood Town Centre Redevelopment; Acting as lead consultant for the redevelopment and refurbishment, throughout the concept design, production information, tender process and delivery of this mixed use phased scheme. The £40 million construction project includes new food and non-food retail units, the relocation of existing council office space including a new library and probation centre, together with the refurbishment of existing malls, provision of new car parking, reconfiguration of local road network, provision of a new bus interchange and improvements to pedestrian access facilities.
