I have been working in the leisure industry for 23 years following fifteen years working in an architectural practice and a brief period within a local authority.

The last 23 years have been in client project management for such businesses as Rank, Butlins, Haven, Warner Holidays, Bourne Leisure and THF. Projects include cinemas, pools, hotels, nightclubs, spas, bars and restaurants.

The most high profile of these in recent years have been the £150M investment in Butlins, during 1999-00, providing tented enclosures linking the main facilities buildings and major improvements to all facilities plus the Butlins Shoreline Hotel at Bognor. Also the development of listed buildings into resort hotels for Warner Holidays over the last ten years, the most recent being Thoresby Hall.

I am now Building Development Director for Potters Leisure resort, Norfolk. This is a family owned and run business and the five star holiday resort in the UK. There are an exciting range of projects to be developed in coming months and years. I am looking forward to a very challenging time ahead having returned to the drawing board to develop briefs and sketch schemes.
