Crunch time for small practices

08 Oct 2008

With less than a week to go to this year’s Guerrilla Tactics conference for small practices, there are still some places left for the combined CPD day and conference package. For £245+VAT delegates can take in:

- a full day of CPD training sessions (14 October) including 2-hour sessions on health and safety, planning and building regulations updates

- an exhibition market place on both days for cutting-edge product manufacturers and event sponsors

- a networking event in the evening of 14 October at the Royal College of Physicians in Regent’s Park

- a full-day’s worth of ‘Guerrilla Tactics’ (15 October) including many specific sessions to assist small practices in the downturn, eg how to move into the health sector, how to get international work and how to develop your USP to get more work.

RIBA President Sunand Prasad opens proceedings on 15 October and will look at the growing opportunity for small practices in reducing carbon emissions from buildings and how these opportunities can be expected to endure beyond the credit crunch. Ruth Reed, RIBA President Elect, will look at strategic training as a way to increase practice earning potential.
