CIAT joins the Society for the Environment

31 Jan 2008

The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists is delighted to announce it has become a constituent body of the Society for the Environment.

From 1 March 2008, following an audit by the Society for the Environment, CIAT will become a licensed body which will enable it to award the Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) qualification to its Members.

CIAT has developed a scheme to assess those Chartered Members (MCIAT) with significant and relevant environmental experience for Chartered Environmentalists status, in line with the requirements laid out by the Society for the Environment.

This will enable CIAT to recognise, reward and celebrate the commitment and achievement of those Chartered Members who have demonstrated their expertise in championing and delivering a sustainable environment.

CIAT President Mark Kennett PCIAT said ‘I am delighted that CIAT can now offer our Chartered Members with relevant experience the chance to obtain the Chartered Environmentalist qualification. Chartered Members of CIAT are ideally qualified and in a position within the industry where they can have a positive effect on the significant environmental challenges we all face. The public can be confident in the professionalism, knowledge and competence of Chartered Architectural Technologists who are also Chartered Environmentalists.’
