This SCRI Forum poses the question: How can we create the right environment for seamless project delivery that both minimises waste and maximises value? To answer the question the event brings together leading industry practitioners and senior academics to showcase leading edge solutions and to discuss and debate the key enabling elements in the seamless delivery of construction projects:
· Process, in the sense of process management related initiatives such as lean, quality, process re-engineering etc.
· IT, in the sense of currently implemented design and construction IT systems
· People, in the sense of people oriented initiatives aiming at improved communication, commitment and collaboration among employees and project participants
How can we achieve the appropriate integration between these three elements in order to successfully deliver projects?
Speakers include:
Chair: Prof. Chris Woods (Research & Development Director, Wates Construction)
