New President Elect for CIAT

29 Oct 2008

Barry Le Beuvant MCIAT has been selected as the new President Elect of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT). Barry has been in the industry for over thirty years and is a partner in a private Architectural Technology practice based in Jersey. He has been active with the Institute serving as a Regional Councillor and other committees.

He will take up his new position at the close of the Institute’s AGM to be held in Hong Kong on 22 November and will become the Institute’s President in November 2009.

Speaking of his appointment, Barry said: ‘I would like to thank the Institute’s Council for supporting me at this exciting time. The Institute is fast increasing its membership, more so than at any time in the past. It is proving to the architectural industry that it is the place to be. We are also beginning to strengthen our international ties, as set out in our strategic review, and I am extremely pleased and look forward to being able to lead the Institute at the inception of this.’
