The South East Low Carbon Awards

23 Jul 2007

The 2007 South East Low Carbon Awards are now open for entries. The Awards recognise and reward the businesses, schools, local authorities, individuals and NGOs that are working to make the low carbon economy happen.

We are now looking for successful examples of low carbon activity in all fields to present to our judges.

Since their launch in 2005, the South East Low Carbon Awards have celebrated the achievements of the winners and provided them with great publicity.

This year's South East Low Carbon Awards will be awarded in five categories:

[1] Low Carbon Development of the Year
[2] Public Sector Commitment to Carbon Reduction
[3] Private Sector Commitment to Carbon Reduction
[4] Individual Champion for Sustainable Energy
[5] Campaign of the Year

Awards dinner and presentation ceremony

The Low Carbon Awards will be presented at a prestigious ceremony on Thursday 29th November 2007 at the University of Southampton. Peter Henley, Political Editor for the BBC in the South and South East, will be master of ceremonies at the event.
