Talking Cities lecture series: Andrew Taylor: The Public City

Andrew Taylor is a founding partner of Patel Taylor, which, from an international shortlist of six, won Birmingham City Council’s competition to design the Eastside Urban Park. This will be Birmingham’s first city park for over a century.

Andrew Taylor will discuss the nature of cities as public places, showing how European cities, from Venice to Barcelona, have achieved their greatness through their parks and public spaces.

Talking Cities is the 2008 Urban Design Public Lecture series organised between Birmingham City University, School of Architecture and MADE, the Regional Architecture Centre in the West Midlands.
