The Eco Technology Show, supported by CIAT, will showcase new technologies and highlight ways in which the public and business can achieve a more efficient and sustainable existence. It aims to:

• Showcase recent innovation and ideas
• Educate business and consumers on how they can achieve a more efficient and sustainable existence
• Introduce products and services enabling them to put the education into practice
• Create an opportunity for government, business and the consumer to network under one roof
• Build an on-going discussion for continued development

The green economy has grown from strength to strength over the past few years. Climate change has become a major political issue and the British government is focusing on reducing carbon emissions and incentivising both industry and the consumer into reducing their carbon footprint, with measures such as the introduction of the Feed-In Tariff and the Renewable Heating Incentive.

The timing of the event is ideal with the introduction of the Green Deal towards the end of 2012 which provides an opportunity for business to assist in upgrading building efficiency for over 18 million properties in the UK. The government has also promoted other environmental initiatives, such as the Green Infrastructure Partnership.
