This may be the perfect opportunity to complete your POP Record, progress your membership and get qualified.
The Architectural Technician, TCIAT or Chartered Architectural Technologist, MCIAT, qualifications could put you one step ahead of the rest when applying for future employment.
In order to progress your membership you will need to work through the relevant POP Records, further information can be found here
The POP Records can be back dated against previous work done, so in theory can be completed relatively quickly assuming you have reached the required level of competence and have a mechanism in place to access the evidence you refer to.
Request to access documentary evidence letter
If you do not have such a mechanism, most but not all of the POP Record units can be completed using case studies. However, these should be based on realistic scenarios. If you are struggling to find a Supervisor, a Directory of POP Record Supervisors is available upon request from membership@ciat.org.uk.
