Members in the Republic of Ireland are advised that the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government is currently reviewing Part B of the Building Regulations 1997-2011 and it is envisaged that Part B and the associated Technical Guidance Document B will be amended by mid 2013.

As part of the process the Department is participating in an initial public consultation and the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Mr Phil Hogan,TD has invited submissions. The deadline for submissions on this initial consultation is 24 February 2012 and to assist in the preparation of a submission the Department has prepared a number of commenting forms which can be accessed here.
